Nasdaq OMX upgrades to Genium Inet
Genium Inet will be the latest version of Inet when it is released.
Nasdaq OMX’s Nordic and Baltic equity exchanges this year switched to Inet, a faster trading platform which is widely used within the group. Now the group’s derivatives exchanges are making the same transition. At the moment, Nasdaq OMX is using the legacy OM Click derivatives system.
“We are developing a new trading system, Genium Inet,” said Hans-Ole Jochumsen, executive vice-president of Nasdaq OMX Nordic. “We are taking the functionalities from our Click system, which is an old trading system, and building a new functionality, so it is able to run on a Linux platform.”
Equity and derivatives trading will migrate to Genium Inet at the same time.
The new system will use the same interface as the old Click system.
