eSecLending hires global trading head
eSecLending has hired Jeffrey O’Neill as global head of trading and managing director. He will be responsible for securities lending trading and strategy on a global basis.
Based in Boston, O’Neill has previously held senior securities lending roles at Brown Brothers Harriman, K Capital Partners and State Street.
eSecLending’s new CEO Craig Starble said O’Neill’s experience will bolster the firm’s ability to provide clients with “market-leading trading strategies” and “superior execution” through its auction model and discretionary securities lending programme.
O’Neill said he is a “firm believer” in using auctions as a tool for price discovery.
