Deutsche Bank’s Satvinder Singh has been appointed to Euroclear’s boards of directors.

He is global head of Trust & Securities Services and Cash Management Financial Institutions at Deutsche Bank.

The board is responsible for the overall development of Euroclear's strategy, as well as the monitoring of its implementation.

“Euroclear plays an integral role in tackling the challenges the securities services sector is facing today. New regulations, ambitious market infrastructure changes like Target2-Securities and macro-economic challenges are adding complexity to the business model but this is also a time of great opportunity,” said Singh.

Despite the challenges we face as an industry, I believe that those with a long term vision and a commitment to exceeding client expectations will continue to flourish,” he added.

Werner Steinmueller, head of Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking division and Member of the Group Executive Committee, said: “Satvinder’s elevation to the Boards of Euroclear is not only recognition of his leadership and expertise, but also an acknowledgement of the strength of Deutsche Bank’s franchise and market position.”

Singh has worked at Deutsche since November 2011. He joined from Citibank where he was head of direct custody and clearing for the Emea region. He holds more than 20 years of experience in the securities business.
