BNP Paribas expands UK client team
BNP Paribas Securities Services has expanded its UK client development team as part of ambitious plans to target the UK pension and insurance fund sector.
Four individuals have joined the team, led by Annalisa Winge Bicknell, head of sales and relationship management for institutional investors.
Sid Newby joins from BNY Mellon to become head of pension fund sales. He will focus on building on BNP Paribas’ recent success in winning mandates from UK pension funds.
Felix Schachter is appointed head of insurance company sales to develop the bank’s UK insurance business. He joins from Aon where he led the European insurance practice for McLagan, Aon's financial services management consultancy.
Aïda Molineux joins from EY to become head of client service, covering asset owners, asset managers and alternative investment managers. At EY she helped clients deal with regulatory change and the emerging risk landscape in Europe as a management consultant.
Ben Williams-Thomas, who joined BNP Paribas from Northern Trust last year, has been appointed as sales manager for information solutions. He will promote BNP Paribas’ technical offering for institutional clients.
BNP Paribas said it has recently developed several new reporting interfaces for its DNA reporting tool, allowing clients to monitor risk and identify trends in fund distribution with unprecedented ease.
Bicknell said: “Our ambition to target UK pensions and insurance firms has already seen impressive success. We won several significant mandates last year and are looking to rapidly grow our market share in 2014. Sid, Felix and Ben will drive us forward in winning more mandates, while Aïda, working in close conjunction with our specialist relationship team, will ensure the highest quality of service delivery for all our clients.”
