Valentina Crovato, who joined BNP Paribas Securities Services in March 2012 as a senior fixed income trader has been promoted to head of trading for Europe

Elsewhere within BNP Paribas Securities Services, James Chan has joined the agency lending desk as a fixed income trader. Chan joins from Lloyds where he was part of the bank's graduate scheme for the past 18 months.

He spent six months on the fixed income repo desk where he trained as a junior trader and gained exposure to both peer-to-peer business and securities lending relationships.

John Arnesen, global head of agency lending said, “We are pleased to have James on board as part of our growing business, particularly in the fixed income markets. Valentina's appointment cements the structure we have in place in our regional locations in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe.”
