BNP Paribas adds to US debt market services
Jamie Pratt joins from Barclays where he was a director in the investment bank’s structured finance division.
His appointment follows the 2013 launch of BNP Paribas’ issuing and paying agent services for US money market issuers.
“The US money market is a key source of short-term funding for US and non-US issuers. It is a high volume market with short deadlines creating significant operational challenges for issuers,” said Claudine Gallagher, regional manager for North America at BNP Paribas Securities Services.
The custodian has been making a big push to expand in the Americas region. The bank administers debt products in the region including US commercial paper, US medium term notes, US certificates of deposit, asset-backed commercial paper and collateralised commercial paper.
Before Barclays Pratt worked at Deutsche Bank as a securitisation banker in London.
