EXCHANGES AND CLEARING

EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be an exchange from the region that has set itself apart from the other exchanges across the continent during the year. The exchange will be a pioneer in the market and have demonstrated excellence in everything from contract launches to technology.

EMERGING EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be an exchange from an emerging market within Asia, the Middle East or Australasia that can demonstrate tangible innovations and growth during the period. This could include contract growth, revenue/profit growth or the development of new facilities or services.

INDIAN EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be an Indian exchange that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period. This could include contract growth, revenue/ profit growth or the development of new facilities or services.

CHINESE EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be a mainland China exchange that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/ or growth during the period. This could include contract growth, revenue/profit growth or the development of new facilities or services.

BEST TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION BY AN EXCHANGE
The winner of this category will have introduced a new technology during the entry period that has brought something new to the market or automated a process in an innovative way.

CLEARING HOUSE OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be an Asian clearinghouse that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period. This could include volume growth, revenue/profit growth or the development of new facilities or services.

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR FOR ASIA
The winner of this category will be an exchange based outside Asia that has launched products or services for the Asian market during the judging period.

BEST INNOVATION BY AN EXCHANGE - REGULATORY CHANGE
The winner of this category will have introduced a new product or service during the judging period that meets the regulatory reform sweeping the market in an innovative way.

PROP TRADER’S EXCHANGE OF THE YEAR
This category is voted for by Proprietary Traders and does not require entry.

MOST INNOVATIVE NEW CONTRACT
Subcategories:
- Index and equities
- Interest rates
- Energy
- Agricultural
- Currency
- Metals

The winner of each sub-category will be an exchange or trading venue that has launched a contract that filled a market need in a novel and innovative way. Contract performance will be taken into account but will not be the sole basis of the judges’ decision.

BANKS, BROKERS AND FCMs

BANK OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be a bank that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period. This could include growth of the client base, revenue/profit growth, growth in geographical coverage or the develop¬ment of new facilities or services.

NON-BANK FCM OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be a non-bank FCM that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period. This could include growth of the client base, revenue/profit growth, growth in geographical coverage or the development of new facilities or services.

CHINESE FCM OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be a Chinese FCM that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period. This could include growth of the client base, revenue/profit growth, growth in geographical coverage or the development of new facilities or services.

COMMODITIES BROKER OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category will be a bank, broker or FCM that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period in the commodities market.

FIXED INCOME BROKER OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category be a bank, broker or FCM that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period in the fixed income market.

EQUITY DERIVATIVES BROKER OF THE YEAR
The winner of this category be a bank, broker or FCM that can demonstrate tangible innovations and/or growth during the period in the equities market.

BEST TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION BY A BANK, BROKER OR FCM
The winners in this category will be able to demonstrate a specific technology innovation that solved a problem or pioneered a new concept.

PROP TRADERS’ BROKER OF THE YEAR
This category is voted for by Proprietary Traders and does not require entry.

BEST NEW PRODUCT

The winners in each of these sub-categories will be technology companies that have launched new products or made enhancements to existing products during the judging period that solved a problem creatively, opened up new possibilities, or changed the way participants approach the market.

DATA CENTRE OF THE YEAR
The winner in this category will operate a data centre within Asia and have demonstrated market leading innovation during the judging period. Innovation could be in the form of technology investment, new facilities or innovation in customer offering.

TRADING SYSTEM OF THE YEAR

INDIVIDUAL

RISING STAR AWARD
Do you have a star of tomorrow within your organisation? Then nominate them for the rising star award. Winners in this category will be under-35, based in Asia and work for a bank, broker, FCM, exchange or CCP. Please outline on the entry forms, the key achievements of the in¬dividual.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award recognises an individual who has made an ex¬traordinary contribution to the Asia futures and options market.
