Pavilion Global Markets has hired Michael Young and Brian Berg to its dedicated transition management team, as it continues to expand its presence and service offering in the US.

The pair will start with wealth manager Pavilion on July 31, reporting to Mario Choueiri, head of transition management at Pavilion.

“Adding two seasoned professionals who have built considerable trust and respect with clients over the years will help us connect with more clients looking for risk management,” said Choueiri.

Young and Berg were most recently with BNY Mellon’s beta and transition management division, which the bank decided to shut down after deciding it was not a core part of its business model.

At BNY Mellon, Young and Berg were branch managers for the New York and Boston branches.

Before BNY Mellon, Young worked at JPMorgan Securities in New York, contributing to the build-out of the heritage Chase Manhattan Bank’s transition management platform and developing JPMorgan’s transition management business.

Berg worked with State Street Bank and Trust in Boston where he marketed transition management products and services. He also worked with ITG and Bloomberg in senior sales positions.
