Trading Technologies sales head Robbie McDonnell is to return to Sydney to head up the firm’s Asia business following a two year stint in Chicago.

McDonnell, an 18 year veteran of the firm, moved to Chicago on a temporary basis in 2014 in the wake of the departures of senior sales figures Tim Geannopulos and Guy Scott.

He had moved to Sydney in 2006 having joined the firm's London office in 1998.

The move is part of a reorganisation of senior sales roles at the Chicago-headquartered company that will create four global senior sales roles reporting to CEO Rick Lane.

Brian Fox, EVP of commodities, will head-up sales for Chicago and Houston while Guy Scott, who returned to the firm in 2015, will run New York and South America.

Steve Stewart will continue in his role as managing director of Europe.

Russell Toop, who has been with TT since 2003 and is currently managing director of Singapore and Hong Kong, will leave the firm.

In addition to the sales reorganisation, Trading Technologies has promoted Kara Grygotis to head up a new customer success team.

Grygotis joined the firm in May and the new division will initially focus on the continuing migration of TT customers onto the next generation trading platform.

Brian Mehta, chief marketing officer at TT, confirmed the changes and said: “TT has put into place a new global customer success organisation that will focus on account management, ensuring seamless product on-boarding and day-to-day client services.

"The sales department will be led by futures industry veterans across four regional heads of sales, focused on business development and relationship management."
