FOW is to host its first Dublin event on May 3 in recognition of the growing importance of the Irish capital as a financial centre in Europe.

The event will bring together asset managers, hedge funds, proprietary traders, banks and brokers for a discussion on topics including the evolution of liquidity and the emerging business model for trading operations.

The keynote address will be provided by Michael Hodson, Director of Asset Management Supervision, Central Bank of Ireland. The other speakers at the event are drawn from across the local and European market.

William Mitting, managing director of the Global Investor Group, said: “Dublin has long been an important trading centre in Europe but Brexit presents a huge opportunity for the city to significantly grow its presence.

“The launch of FOW Dublin is a key step in our strategy to operate marketing leading events in the regional trading centres across Europe and beyond.”

The event will be held at the O’Callaghan Alexander Hotel in Dublin starting at 8:50 on the May 3. The half day event will be followed by a networking lunch.
