Tradeweb’s dealer-to-customer platform has been designed in response to demand from market participants. It will use Tradeweb’s institutional network to improve liquidity and access to the equity derivatives markets.

Nine equity derivatives dealers are supporting the new venture: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Société Générale and RBS.

Clients will be able to place up to five dealers in real time competition for listed, flexible and OTC/bilaterally settled options, based on the request-for-quote functionality.

Tradeweb is providing links with relevant clearing houses to try and improve efficiency for both dealers and their clients.
